Horrible nurses on the 5th floor

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My sister had a cancer tumor removed and is fighting colon cancer now. After surgery, she was sent to the 5th floor for recovery.

The first 5 hours was good with a nurse. Then shift changed, and a nurse called Sarah was the worst nurse i have ever encountered. She was rude, slow, did know how to manage her patients, complained to her team leader when I helped my sister to the bathroom. Which we asked for help first, but she had more important patients.

Then her team leader marti came in the room and made accusations that were not true. This was the most unprofessional people on earth. All of them should quit nursing. shame on you all .

Husband Visit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I brought my husband to JPS hospital for complaints that he thought he was having a stroke. We waiting in the waiting room and then waited in the exam room.

Me and my son waited with them. We waited a lot of hours before he got the room and then hours before he was seen in the exam room. I think 4 hours past and my 7 year old son was tired, restless, and very hungry so my husband sent me home and send when I come back to bring him something to eat because he was starving too. I picked my son up something to eat and went home and put his toons on while he ate.

We relaxed for a minute and then we drove back to the hospital with some food for my husband. We went back to the same spot my husband was on the other side of the street where there just there for a visit and not staying. There was a 500 pound man working at check in and I said can we go back to my husbands room? He sent us to get him some food, He said let me check.

He then said your husband is not here we sent him home. I started freaking out and said I just talked to him on the phone and he said come back he was in the same room. I went all over asking everybody that worked there where he was and even went to the other side of the street and tried to call his cell phone and no one answered it. I was scared and angry and my son started crying really hard where is his dad.

Then my phone rings and my husband says that they moved him and are keeping him just to watch him for a few nights. He told me to go to such and such a floor and go to the room number he told me. On the other side I asked if it was OK for me and my son to go up to see my husband. The man said it was OK.

He said walk on in and go straight to his room. So we went up the elevator and went to the room and Some white nurse started screaming at us we weren't allowed to see him. I got very alarmed and called his cell phone and no answer. I thought he was dead.

I went back to the front desk hysterical and crying and yelling what in the heck is going on you told me to go up there. The man said calm down he was going to call there and find out what was going on. Then my husband called on his cell phone and said go home and he would see me when he got out of there. This was February of 2020.

Since that time people have driven past our house we use to live in I suspect from there to harrass us.

I have receive very threatening letters from the Doctors at the hospital saying there will be dier consequences if we don't abide by what he says. I have gotten very scary phone pranks and track the number it says JPS.

Billing.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Did a 10 minutes phone call (telehealth) at a JPS clinic. Since the one and only phone call from the doctor, let me add the doctor is a primary care provider in my network, I have been receiving a monthly facility fee.

When I asked about the facility fee I was told by the billing department that the doctors are not employed by JPS that they are only renting a room at the clinic. So am I suppose to be helping to pay for the monthly rental?

I paid the first facility fee since I did the telehealth but I do not understand why I should continue to pay a facility fee every month. The worst billing department ever, I refuse to go to a JPS facility.

HEARTLESS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My mom was a patient at the emergency room, shes been having really bad hemorrhages and vaginal bleeding. Her stomach then started getting really bad stabbing like pain and with the time bloating.

She needed a pelvic exam done, practiced by an asian doctor. The doctor shoved the plastic thingy and waved it around inside her causon my mom to yell and as she was taking it out big masses came out and the whole bed covered in blood. Then told my mom she was perfectly fine, so my mom, obviously from waiting 7 hours to be attended holding the pain that cant allow her to walk, begged her for medicine ay least something to calm her headache. The doctor gave her a pill and then said she could go home.

My mom wanted go eat since she hasnt eaten all day, walked to the next building to buy mcdonalds. Her vision started going away and began getting a headache, so she sat down on a bench and waited for my dad. She started throwing up, getting bad stomach pain and when my dad returned she was passed out. 7 nurses had to carry her back in the emergency room and tried waking her up.

She recalls all the nurses being mean and making bad gestures at my dad for not saying anything, he was in shock! He tried waking my mom up and she wouldnt respond!! And not just that he doesnt know english so they were being rude and unpatient with him. The doctor that gave my mom the medication was there as well saying that it was my mom fault for eating ...when she didnt even get to eat !!

Agter my mom regained consciousness she tells the doctor that she overdosed her, she had all the symptoms. So a nicer nurse had to do another pelvic exam on my mom and this time my mom wasnt in much pain like the other doctor who didnt even insert it gently.

Worst Possible Hospital in History

Hi,

I was a patient at JPS for four months, the nurses who were caring for us patients unfortunately thought we were all out of our minds like some other patients, but I distinctly remember some very horrific incidents that was never properly looked into despite reporting my nurse of threatening my life who was a male nurse. - this was never investigated and as far as I'm aware he still works there scaring and threatening patients.

he nearly broke my hand also.

I saw nurses laugh at self harming patients not help them or try to stop them from harming themselves but instead laugh at them for doing it. - this made them do it more.

I saw many many many over medicated patients who were drooling instead of being present or "alive and present " they couldn't even speak for themselves and I was concerned that they would over medicate me to such a degree that I wouldn't be able to talk.

my BP got to 50 and they did nothing about it ( evidence that they were sedating me when I did not need it) sedation is for aggressive individuals who are fighting taking their medication not for individuals who take their medication. My nurse looked forward to daily nearly breaking my arm and injecting me with his sedative drug. When I told him he was overmedicating me and hurting me he told me would stab me in the eye with the needle if I didn't shut up

They never offered counselling but instead they offer talks about random things like how to get out of the hospital instead of dealing with the many deep rooted issues that many patients were dealing with.

This was totally unhelpful there was NO HOPE in this hospital. I honestly thought I would die there being overmedicated and no one would care but my parents when they found out I had died. I can say all of this with confidence because I often talked to the other patients and became friends with many of them. All of us were appalled at how they dealt with everything in the hospital, I even had the worst case ever of lice in that hospital.

(it was extremely dirty everywhere you look) - I became the patch adams of this hospital and helped talk through a lot of issues with other patients.

and when I was scared a nice man (also a patient) held my hand because I was so scared being there.

going to this hospital was the worst experience of my life, we NEVER went outside and nothing besides coloring was offered

its not a place I would recommend for your loved one if they are having mental health problems its probably the worst place you could take them too and every person that's been there would tell you the same thing.

I came out of there with a lot of lessons learned and knowledge of other peoples problems. Now I know that the drug that they used on me specifically effects the memory.

- it erases your memories and makes you helpless and extremely sleepy not knowing what's going on with you until it wears off in about 12 hours.

I was never offered support of any kind and everything I said was not listened to. it was the worst experience of my entire life.
